I went to California for a two-day Christmas light training, with one day focusing on sales/marketing, and the other day focused on installation. For the installation day, there was a slide show with hundreds of homes. NONE of them had gutters. It bothered me. ust California things I guess...

No gutters on my current apartment. There is a small flange to discourage water from pouring over the doorway. The rest just drains off onto the driveway or into the woods. I’d be more worried about it if I had a basement.

It doesn’t rain much in SoCal. When it does, the rain is so hard that the gutters don’t really help. At least that’s my theory.
I remember a cut line in the ground on all sides of the houses in my neighborhood in Los Angeles where the rain landed when it rolled off the roofs.
